I didn't realize that the border was the white snake itself when I looked at it for the first time but once I read your caption, I realized it was indeed a snake. I think it's nice but the white on the snake is too white, so it seems a little unfinished but overall it's okay. Are the white rectangles apart of the border? I think it's not so necessary to include the white borders.
